Mismatched Chair Bench
To heck with YouTube and Farmville; my new favorite online timesucker is Pinterest! I could spend hours surfing around that site because it’s chock full of amazing things like this bench from Kindall’s Creations that is made from three mismatched chairs. She found the chairs at thift stores, paying between $2 and $6 each. Her bench has a cheerful, farmhouse-y look to it, but you could give this a totally different attitude with different combinations of paint and fabric. I like a modern look, so I would paint the chairs in a glossy black finish and cover the seat with black and white tapestry in a bold, graphic print. For a beach cottage feel, you could paint the chairs in a distressed white finish and use a nice light blue damask for the seat. Or make a bench for the kids to use for putting their shoes on by painting the chairs in primary colors and using a bright, playful fabric for upholstery.

So full of win!! Love it! And Pinterest sucks a couple hours of my life every day now! I’m pinning this too!
I’m scared to start Pinteresting because I know I will love it too much. I will simply depend on you guys to show me the best of the best, okay? I really love this bench – have seen other versions with matching chairs, and wondered how I would ever find matching chairs to try it…this is the best hack!
