Recycled Denim Textile Art
I have seen a lot of pretty amazing things made out of scraps or trash, so many that it’s difficult to impress me anymore. I did, however, draw an audible gasp when I first spotted this recycled denim textile art by Julie of Through Cat Eyes. She used cut-up old pairs of jeans sewn to a fabric backing to create a transfixing starburst design. Don’t you just want to reach through the computer screen and touch it?
The starburst is Julie’s second denim textile art piece; the first one she made is a more randomized piece using the same process. I would also love to see this done in a chevron pattern!

What a stunning use of denim! Bravo artists!
