Changing My Eating Game
This post brought to you by Nectresseâ„¢ Sweetener. All opinions are 100% mine.
Lately I've been completely exhausted – and I think it's due to my eating habits. I'm really busy (aren't we all) and so sometimes I cut corners when it comes to the food choices I make. Boo! So I've done a bit of a diet revamp lately, and that includes replacing sugar to cut some carbs and calories. I recently tried NECTRESSE™Sweetener as a substitute for sugar in one of my favorite snacks, and I thought it was the perfect solution. I'm a huge fan of greek yogurt, and it's got less sugar in general than regular yogurt, but it still contains a lot in the flavoring. In the past I've eaten flavored greek yogurt with granola in it, and I'm quite sure there was quite a bit of sugar in my fun little recipe. This time I bought the plain green yogurt (no sugar) and decided to throw in a little Nectresse™ as my sweetener.
With one yogurt container you don't need to use an entire packet. I used a little under half. Did you know that Nectresse™ is the only 100% natural sweetener made from fruit? Yes – monk fruit extract available where you shop. Cool, huh?
Toss in a little granola (I may have used a little less than usual too, which helps with the sugar as well).
Mix it up and you have a tasty snack with a lot less sugar but all the deliciousness! I didn't notice a difference between the Nectresse™ and the previous sugary treat. I thought my snack was just as delicious – and a lot healthier!
