Kids require a ton of storage.  Whether it’s book or toys, stuffed animals or clothes, a child’s room tends to go south if everything doesn’t have a specific home.  Premade children’s storage units can be pricey, and it is difficult to customize them to fit a certain color palette or theme.  This DIY crate bookshelf provides needed storage, can be made to match any room, and costs quite a bit less than prefab pieces.  If you can’t find used crates, check your local craft store for similar styles.
