My Colortopia: Show Your Colors
Show Your Colors allows you to submit your “before and afters” of your home painting projects. Did you recently re-do a room? Share it! We love the site because it’s an awesome place to get color inspiration and to see what others are doing to revamp their living spaces.
Our friend Roeshel from DIY Show Off recently re-did her apartment kitchen area with the most wonderful herringbone pattern in a lovely shade of yellowish-orange-mustard. Ish. Hahaha! Obviously we didn’t know what color it was, so we clicked ”Get colors from this photo.” right below the image in Show Your Colors.
You can select a portion of the photo and the My Image Inspiration tool chooses colors that are related – and then you can get to a wall color you like based on those recommendations. We went with the Dusty Gold, which showed us two color palettes based on that. I LOVE the second one especially, with the suggestion to add in that beautiful shade of Caribbean Sea. Could be a cool palette for a small area of your home, no?

I love that tool too! Thank you so much for the shout out, ladies! I’m so honored! Finishing up that apartment reno this week! Woo hoo!
Oh wow, I could definitely use this in some of my future room makeovers. I love finding color inspiration on the web, and this will make taking the colors to the store to match so much simpler!
What a cool tool…I can’t wait to try it out. Love the yellow and white striped wall!
